Yamaguchi Tamon (17 August 1892 – 4 June 1942) was a rear admiral in theImperial Japanese Navyin World War II and an alumnus of Princeton University (1921–1923). He is best known as the last commanding officer ofaircraft carrier Hiryuuand the Second Carrier Division in thebattle of Midwayand many of herKantai Collectionincarnation's lines make reference to him.
