Sub-Zerois a character in theMortal Kombatseries. Aninjaof the Chinese Lin Kuei clan, Sub-Zero has command over the element of ice, and has the ability to freeze his foes solid. Two people have taken the mantle of Sub-Zero. The first,Bi-Han, was killed byScorpionin the first Mortal Kombat tournament before eventually becoming the ninja specterNoob Saibot. He would be succeeded by the second Sub-Zero,Kuai Liang, his younger brother. In the third MK timeline, as introduced inMortal Kombat 1 (2023), Bi-Han's fate is changed, and he remains Sub-Zero. His brother, meanwhile, is now Scorpion.
