Aninjaof the Shirai Ryu clan, Scorpion has command over the element of fire, and his primary weapon is a wickedly sharp spear on a chain that he uses to pierce and reel in enemies. Two people have taken the mantle of Scorpion. In the first two MK timelines, he isHanzo Hasashi, becoming Scorpion as an undead specter. In the third MK timeline, as introduced inMortal Kombat 1 (2023), he is the brother ofSub-Zero,Kuai Liang, and became Scorpion as a living man.
