He uses ground pounds to stun the player, can climb walls and uses his magicwandto summon magic blasts and purplefireballs. InNew Super Mario Bros. U, he no longer has a wand and now uses a giantcannonto fireBullet Bills. He is also generally regarded as the second most powerful Koopaling afterLudwig. Roy is depicted as being more brawn than brains and preferring to use brute force, though he is rather quick-witted and still more intelligent thanMorton. He is also somewhat of abullywho likes to beat people up for fun and has a thing for acting and looking cool. Like most of the Koopalings, he wearsspiked braceletson each arm and has a mostlyyellow skincomplexion, as well as a pink head. He is the second largest of his siblings after Morton and has a purplespiked shell, largefangs, wearspinksunglassesand isbald. He is named after Roy Orbison, a famous rock and roll singer, songwriter and guitarist.
