TheEsbelibenRegultis a lightly armored combat walker, but compensates this by having itsmaclonepilot equipped with a heavyarmoredspacesuitand by being armed with several energy cannons and other powerful weaponry. The standard version is armed with 2 pivoting forward firing medium-bore electron beam guns, 2 forward and downward firing pivoting small-bore anti-personnel cannons and a self-defense rear aimed upper turret with 2 small-bore anti-aircraft laser guns. While primarily designed as an all-terrain, ground based, motorized infantry and armored support unit, this mecha also has superior speed and maneuverability inspacethanks to its high number ofvernier thrusters. Very easy to produce, repair, modify and pilot, the Regult is usually deployed in very vast numbers and in massive attack waves to overwhelm, encircle and obliterate the enemy. It is the main attack mecha of all the Zentradi forces and is produced in the trillions in massive automated factories scattered across themilky waygalaxy. There are specialized variants of the walker, which range from light and heavyartilleryversions armed withmissilesto an unarmed version designed for Reconaissance and Electronic Countermeasure missions. It was renamed as theTactical Battle Podin theRobotechadaptation. It was designed byKawamori Shoujiand inspired by theT-34tanksofWorld War IIand theAT-STfromStar Wars.
