A character and main protagonist from theKunio-kun series. Kunio-kun(くにおくん) is a tough, brave and honorable high school Japanese boy expert in martial arts and street fighting. He wears a traditional white highschool uniform(orgakuran) and black shoes. He first appeared in theNekketsu Kouha Kunio-kunarcadevideo gamefrom 1986. Kunio-kun (variously renamed "Alex" and "Crash Cooney" in the United States), was named after Kunio Taki, the former president ofTechnōs Japan, the company that created the first game in the series. Kunio-kun also later became Technōs Japan's main mascot from 1990 until 1996, appearing on the company's logo in several games and in different Japanese television commercials.
