Guyis a video game character in both theFinal FightandStreet Fighterseries byCapcom. He first appeared in the 1989 beat 'em up Final Fight and later appeared in theStreet Fighter Alphaseries. Guy is a red-clad ninpō master of Japanese descent who has been taught the special Bushin form ofninjutsu. According to Capcom's original arcade production staff, Guy's original design was based onGuy Picciotto, the former vocalist of the late 80s post-hardcore punk rock bandFugazi. Like his video game counterpart, Picciotto was known for his fondness to wear orange shirts andconversesneaker shoes during concerts.
